Southern Pickleball Association’s

Player Rankings

What Are Player Rankings?

Player rankings are your way of seeing how you stack up against all other Southern Pickleball players at your same level and age group!

Each tournament is associated with a different level based on size and competition level that earns you a different number of points. Every medal you earn in a tournament will then earn you points to your overall player ranking!

OUR FINAL 2024 STANDINGS ARE FINALLY HERE!

  • No—every Southern Pickleball tournament counts regardless of where you live! Every tournament you compete in contributes to your player ranking points, regardless of your state of residency. We encourage players to participate in as many tournaments as possible to maximize their points, elevate their game, and grow alongside our expanding pickleball community!

    Your state of residency only matters when comparing how you rank against other players in your area. As a player, you will be ranked both within your home state and overall among all Southern Pickleball members. For example, if you're a Tennessee-based player, every Southern Pickleball tournament you compete in—whether in Tennessee or any other state—will count toward your ranking against fellow Tennessee players!

  • Just like our tournaments, player rankings are based on your age as of December 31 of that year.

    • If you compete in a tournament in 2025, your age group is determined by your age on December 31, 2025.

    • If you played in a tournament in 2024, your age group was based on your age on December 31, 2024.

    • If you participated in a tournament in 2023, your age group was determined by your age on December 31, 2023.

    This ensures consistency across all rankings and tournaments!

  • We're thrilled to see your game improving! If you compete at multiple skill levels throughout the year and medal at each level, you'll earn ranking points for each division you play in.

    For example, if you win gold in a 3.0 division in January, you'll receive points at the 3.0 level. Then, if you compete at 3.5 in August and earn bronze, you'll gain points at the 3.5 level as well. Your progress across different skill levels is always recognized and rewarded!

  • Level 1 Tournaments are our highest level of tournaments where you will be awarded the highest points for medaling in one of the events.

    Gold= 300 points

    Silver= 225 points

    Bronze= 150 points

  • Level 2 Tournaments are tournaments where you will earn points at the mid-tier level based on how you medaled in events.

    Gold= 200 points

    Silver= 150 points

    Bronze= 100 points

  • Level 3 Tournaments are our smaller tournaments or sanctioned tournaments where you can still earn points for winning medals in your events, but not as many as a Level 1 or Level 2 tournament.

    Gold= 100 points

    Silver= 75 points

    Bronze= 50 points
